Ana Ventura is a visual artist and illustrator who graduated in Visual Arts/Painting from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, specializing in engraving techniques. Since 1996, she has exhibited her work internationally through solo and group exhibitions in Portugal, Bulgaria, Italy, Iran, the United States, and other countries. Her practice includes illustration, printmaking, artist books, screenprints, and customized objects, distinguished by intricate details and poetic visual storytelling.

Ana collaborates with publishers in Portugal, Italy, Belgium, and Norway, and has developed projects with institutions and brands, including the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Converse.

In 2014, she co-founded TILED, a fashion brand inspired by Portuguese tiles.

Her work has been recognized internationally, with selections for major illustration events such as Illustrarte, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Picturale, the Bienále Ilustrácií Bratislava, and Nami Island.

In 2022, she received the Portuguese National Illustration Award for the book MUDAR.

Since 2024, she has been taking part in artist residencies, developing her artistic practice.

She lives and works between Lisbon and Antwerp.
